Thursday 6th June: Feedback Mental Health conference on Loneliness and Isolation
07 June 2019
"This Thursday I attended an amazing conference organised by Feedback Mental Health. The morning consisted of 8 incredible speakers who spoke about their own experiences of mental health, isolation and loneliness. They gave such powerful testimonies and the main aim was to humanise and de-stigmatise mental health through telling people's stories. There were some very poignant messages from the day, including the importance of a sense of belonging and being able to hold space for people, whilst working with those suffering with their mental health. It was an inspiring day and I have certainly taken away a lot from all the speakers. Great to see so many speakers and charities from across Norfolk as well!" Abbie Haines. (Left to Right : speakers are : Vincent Harrison, Sue Willgoss, Katherine Gilmartin, Josh Connolly, Ivan Humble and Tod Sullivan.)

Didn't know about our Affiliate Network?.... We run a membership network of faith-based projects who are responding to sexual exploitation in communities across the UK. Through events, training and a quarterly briefing we share good practice on supporting women to exit sexual exploitation. Trauma-informed Practice training
24 May 2019
"On Monday 20th May, I attended Trauma-Informed Practice training in London with AVA (Against Violence and Abuse). This was some really informative training. I met some lovely people and came away with some great ideas around helping make our service more trauma-informed. The training also showed me how well our service already does at being trauma-informed by being able to offer a women-only space and having a defined point of responsibility for creating trauma-informed services." Tabitha Rodwell, Therapeutic Practitioner.
Internet Safety
20 May 2019
"On Wednesday 15th May, the Jigsaw team spent a jam-packed and fun day working with Year 7's at Long Stratton High School. They held 5 sessions throughout the day, educating students about internet safety, online grooming and cyber-bullying. It was an interactive day and the students had lots of ideas about what to look out for online and how to handle any concerns should they arise. It was a great day and we look forward to hopefully returning to Long Stratton High in the future!" Morwenna Chaffe

Clinks’ annual conference 2019
09 May 2019
Suzi Heybourne, our CEO, is attending Clinks' annual conference 2019 in London today. The conference 'creating change together' offers attendees the chance to hear from key policy and decision makers, and to network with voluntary sector organisations and government officials. "People in the criminal justice system and their families are facing increasing challenges in getting the support they need to lead fulfilling lives. Successive political and administrative changes to the structures in criminal justice, coupled with reducing resources, mean that many people are unable to get the help they need. The voluntary sector’s role is more important than ever, but it too faces unprecedented challenges. Into the future, we need to work together to speak up on behalf of service users and communities, and to provide flexible services that meet changing needs. Clinks is ambitious about the future and potential of the sector. We want to build and support a movement of organisations who play an essential role in helping people to desist from crime and turn their lives around."
