CSE Training

"A massive thank you to Basis for delivering Level 2 and 3 training to the staff at The Magdalene Group. It was very insightful and reassuring that we are all on the same page, when it comes to delivering a CSE service. A great opportunity to share ideas about practice and ways to improve both services as a whole."
Becky Bentley, CSE Practitioner.

"On the 1st and 2nd July we were happy to welcome Devin from Basis Yorkshire to The Magdalene Group for 2 days to deliver “Child Sexual Exploitation Level 2 Victim’s Voice” and “Child Sexual Exploitation Level 3 Advanced - Exploring the Practical Challenges of Child Sexual Exploitation” training to all front-line workers across our Women's and Young People’s services.
It was really useful to share best practice and experiences of child exploitation from Norfolk and to hear about the work being carried out in West Yorkshire. We could also share challenges faced and ideas about how best to continue to engage and work with young people at risk of child sexual exploitation using a trauma-informed approach to support them to recognise exploitation and support them to build resilience and move on with their lives.
We face similar challenges in responding to child criminal exploitation and working with other agencies to ensure that risks around sexual exploitation are also considered when assessing the needs of young people. A thought provoking day and an opportunity to reflect and consider our own practice. We look forward to attending their CSE conference #WorkingBetterTogether19 in September and continuing to share learning with this organisation."

"I attended day one of CSE training; it was useful to understand CSE and the current thinking on how best to support victims of CSE. As a volunteer it was really beneficial to me to do this training with the whole Magdalene Group team."
