Re-opening of the Sitting Room

The Rt Revd Bishop Graham James re-opened our newly refurbished drop in sitting room.   A grant from Awards for All has enabled us to refurbish the room to make it comfortable, practical but most importantly to feel a lovely place for the clients that use the drop in service.

Suzi  said,“This lottery money had been ringfenced to spend on furniture for the drop-in. We spoke to the women for ideas on what they would like and they chose the fabrics from colour swatches. They wanted it to be contemporary and colourful.”

The room has different areas including a comfy seating zone where clients and staff can chat privately without having to leave the room, an eating area which turns into a craft/activity area and finally the ICT suite which enables our clients to use the computers for help with CV’s, course work, housing applications and more informal use.  A wall mounted TV, kindly donated by Snellings of Blofield, will be used for film nights, IT work and other training opportunities.
